There are different options when it comes to public toilets. Transmen don't always pass well enough yet to use the Gents, or don't feel confident enough yet. If you are still using the Ladies when you are growing a beard you can get into serious trouble. One option is to use the disabled toilet, if available.
Once you feel ready to use the Gents instead of the Ladies toilet you will find that men behave different in a public toilet. Basically men don't communicate. Don't ever look at other men and certainly don't try to chat about the weather, your kids or last nights TV program when using a public toilet. It might have been perfectly acceptable in the Ladies, but it isn't what you are supposed to do in the Gents.
If you aren't peeing standing up you need to use a cubicle, which is perfectly acceptable. Some men do because they feel ashamed, they struggle to urinate with their trousers and pants up or they are physically unable to use a urinal. Boys often use the cubicle because they are not confident enough to use a urinal.
If you have mastered the art of peeing standing up then there are a few extra rules. There are lots of comedy type video clips on men's urinals. I have chosen a couple for you which actually point out some important stuff female bodied people don't necessarrily know. Don't take them too seriously though, they are meant as comedy after all.
